of the country and is usually visited by top officials from all around the world during their international meetings in Vilnius. Today all visitors admire the beauty of the castle itself with interesting features of its architecture and history museum but also unique views of natural surroundings of the castle. Around Trakai there are 5 big lakes and impressive forest area which make this place even more special. Way to
the castle leads through the wooden bridge over the lake and it is the perfect spot for taking pictures. It is important to mention that Trakai, was capital of Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the only Eastern European
castle built on an island.
